Contributor Guidelines, Terms & Conditions:

PersonalBrand.com is a business and marketing strategy blog that focuses on topics both directly and indirectly related to starting, building, and scaling a personal brand. Our authors write in a way that connects, while sharing valuable information that can be easily applied to their businesses. Please write in a friendly, approachable tone while and don’t be afraid to share your personality. This ain’t no stuffy corporate blog!

Post Length:
Your blog post should be between 600 and 2,000 words. We like to focus on longer-form, high-value, actionable content. If your post will be well over 2,000 words, please consider breaking your blog post up into a two-part series if it’s possible.

Linking Rules:
You can link back to up to three (3) blogs on your own website, and one (1) lead magnet, or opt-in on your own website.
Please also include at least two (2) other outbound links to other credible websites that back up your post’s statements and claims. IE: (Entrepreneur, Forbes, Forrester Research, Inc., etc.)

Unique Content:
The blog post you submit must be unique and original content; it cannot have been published previously and may not be published anywhere else.

Format:
Please submit your article as either a Word Document (.doc or .docx), or, preferably in HTML format with H2 tags for subheadlines.

Contributor Guidelines,Terms & Conditions:

  • Content should be actionable. Try to avoid simply relaying news or information.
  • You must include clear action items or takeaways for the reader.
  • Content should not be primarily promotional in nature
  • Content should be unique and original to PersonalBrand.com and should not be posted anywhere else
  • Content should be written and formatted in a way that is easy to read – bulleted lists, subheadings, etc. No long paragraphs of text.
  • Contributor must submit at least 3 potential headlines with the article for approval
  • Author must include a professional headshot and short bio with links to your Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn Pages
  • Your blog post should be between 600 and 2000 words long
  • Your content should be premium quality and add a lot of value
  • You can include up to 7 links in your blog post
    • Up to 3 links back to your own website
    • Up to 1 link to a lead magnet/optin page on your website
    • Up to 3 links to 3rd party articles
  • We reserve the right to not publish the content if it is not up to standards
  • If a post is not up to standards we will give you 3 chances to make revisions
  • We reserve the right to make edits to the blog post and add links to other content and resources

Please visit our blog before writing so that you get an idea of the style, voice, and quality that we prefer. Also be sure to search for keywords related to your post so that you don’t write a post similar to what has been published.

After you submit your piece of content, created within the guidelines above, our team will look over the content, edit and optimize the post where needed. Depending on completion, revisions, editing and approval, we run approved articles within two to three weeks of receipt.
